About Nolanda

Reverend “Elder” Nolanda Yvonne Love, a Pasadena, CA native and Founder/CEO of Nolanda Love Ministries, Inc., is dedicated to making a difference, through multi-faceted avenues of Music and The Word.  This has included Grand Connection—Godly grandmothers and others Making a Difference in Generations; and Nolanda Love & Women of God, who recorded their first CD, “With My Whole Heart” in 2001.  As a vibrant and passionate worship leader; preacher/teacher/song writer/ producer /poet/author— a most creative lady – Nolanda  has a message of hope and joy to share with the world through her first book of poetry, “Joy for the Journey:  Heart Expressions ~ A Poetic Celebration…” She is motivated to write and thereby inspire and encourage others of all ages on their journey of life; offering joy, strength, love, hope, peace and comfort.  

 

Nolanda began playing piano at the age of five; and is delighted with continuing opportunities to share her gifts, whether it is for special events, conferences, workshops and services; internet radio and cable television; or small group studies and family gatherings.   

 

Rev. Love is an active member of the Ministry Team of The Church on The Way, Van Nuys, CA, Pastor Tim Clark, Sr. Pastor.  She is a licensed and ordained Foursquare minister, and over the years has worked with many community organizations and ministries, including 12 years’ service as an ordained Elder at Victory Bible Church; 25 years as Minister of Music at Lincoln Ave. Baptist Church; collaboration with The Links Inc., Women In Action, Jack & Jill, Dr. Margaret P. Douroux & Heritage Foundation, So. Calif. Gospel Announcers Guild, The Boy’s Club of Pasadena, Jean Burch Ministries, Senator Carol Liu, and Lena Kennedy with the So. California Women’s Health Conference. ​

This author is an honors graduate of The King’s earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Theological Studies, and has pursued graduate courses in her spare time! Her leadership abilities were demonstrated as a participant in student government, spiritual mentoring, Women’s Ministry Fellowship, and the Alumni Association Council.  She was most recently employed full time serving as Personal Executive Assistant to Dr. Jack Hayford, Chancellor/Founder of The King’s University, Los Angeles~Dallas). A real joy of hers has been to serve as worship leader for The Jack W. Hayford School of Pastoral Nurture – all of this undoubtedly a real convergence of ministry, and careers in library science, retail management, buying, and executive search consulting.

 

Also known as “Mombee,” Nolanda dearly loves her family.  She is the devoted wife of Joe Love and they are blessed with two wonderful sons and six amazing and beautiful grandchildren. Her daily pursuit is one that reflects a lifestyle of worship; and she is often found encouraging others with a favorite motto that says; “I’ll finish, if I don’t quit!
